The Detroit SX performance of Mike & Jeff Alessi concluded the East coast SX lites season. The hint of greatness came when Mike Alessi holeshot heat race #1 and dissapeared. Simple as that! Mike won the heat with a nearly 10 second lead over the likes of Dungey, Hahn, and Laninovich, by turning the fastest Lites time of the entire program (practice, heat races, main event) which was a speedy 47.76. Mike had the fast qualifier by a margin of 3 seconds, and had first pick of the gate, but in the main event Mike crashed out in the first turn, then charged from last to 8th, Jeff was also riding inside the top ten for most of the race but also crashed out with less then 2 laps to go to finish 18th.
