The Weekly Alessi update
This weekend was bike week in warm sunny Daytona beach Fla. , which was quite a contrast from last weekend in St. Louis. This year's Daytona supercross saw Mike Alessi on the podium, ( the first KTM rider to get on the podium this supercross season) with a solid third place finish despite a hectic heat race where another rider got their leg lodged into the rear wheel of Mike's bike.Jeff Alessi was also very impressive this week, and posted one of the fastest lites practice laps, and ran inside the top three for quite a while in the main event, but eventually fell victim to fitness related issues (which we were expecting since he has been out of racing for most of last season with injuries) and eventually finished 7th.
