After years of absence the Scheveningen Beach race was back on the program. The weather gets cold, windy and rainy around this time making this Red Bull Knock-Out a tough one. With 500 riders starting off in the first heat, the first 200 made it to the next round. Among them, Jarno Verhorevoort who lined up next to the French winner of heat #1 and was seen on live national TV. With speed up to 170 km/h along the water and one big whoop section on the back it was a true knock-out race. Jarno made it to the final round and finished 28th. The race was won by Marc de Reuver (15.000 Euros richer riding his first race on the YZ) with Steve Ramon (factory Suzuki) in 2nd.
