Fabian Bauersachs did very well at the latest IFMXF stop in Poland. After some smooth qualifying runs Fab got straight to the finals where he showed McMetz to no-handed lander as a Double Up, Rock Solid Indy, Cliffhanger 1 Hand Lander, Cordova to 1-handed lander, Lazy boy (1-h-lander) and a Flintstone (1HL). On Friday this scored a 4th place (shady judging) but on Sunday Fab tied for 2nd. Here are the final standings of the 2006 IFMXF series:
The Fiat Supercross in Genoa, Italy had a good field of riders. Mike Alessi mixed it up on a great track with Atonio Cairoli, Ryan Mills, Jason Lawrence, Josh Grant, Rennet and Antoine Meo to name a few. KTM had brought their A-team of mechanics for full support. Mike had a good race in Genoa, winning his day qualifier, his night heat race, and finishing 2nd in the main event for the great Italian fans.
German Universal FMX-er Fabian Bauersachs went to Hamburg for the IFMXF Night of the Jumps without much training to back up his performance. Fabian has been dealing with a painful finger so no riding was on the program before hitting the comp in Hamburg. The course there looked awesome with 4 different jumps and Fabian felt good in practice. Qualifying for the main event was no problem either. In the finals Fab pulled tricks like Cordova, Flintstone to 1 hand landing, Cliffhanger, Indy rock solid and a Mc Metz to no-hand landing as double up and was in the hot seat for a while until some back flippers arrived plus a guy called Mike Mason. This resulted in Fab getting a very nice fourth place.
Claudia Schiffer, Justin Timberlake and Universal FMX-er Busty Wolter. What?! They were all part of a German TV show called "Wetten Dass!?" (You bet!?). Busty's Suzuki looked really ghetto without all the decals but that was part of the conditions and out of Busty's hands.
James wants to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support, including everyone who has put together HelpJames.Org, which has generated many donations, and everyone out there in the motocross community who has helped him out both financially and emotionally. His spirits are high and he's working very hard every day to improve.

When Erwin Robins made the move to the MON he told us that at least we would have a championship party at the end of te season. It showed how confident he was.
Red Bull KTM riders Mike Alessi and Zach Osborne represented the USA at last weekend's Supercross race in Bercy, France. Mike made the final every night but never managed to battle with the podium guys. He did however come away without a fight with the Frenchies or any other drama. Youngster Zach Osborne made the finals on the last night finishing 11th. 2006 MX2 world champion Christophe Pourcel (France) was crowned King of Bercy and team France won the team classification for the first time (so there was no reason to fight...).
After years of absence the Scheveningen Beach race was back on the program. The weather gets cold, windy and rainy around this time making this Red Bull Knock-Out a tough one. With 500 riders starting off in the first heat, the first 200 made it to the next round. Among them, Jarno Verhorevoort who lined up next to the French winner of heat #1 and was seen on live national TV. With speed up to 170 km/h along the water and one big whoop section on the back it was a true knock-out race. Jarno made it to the final round and finished 28th. The race was won by Marc de Reuver (15.000 Euros richer riding his first race on the YZ) with Steve Ramon (factory Suzuki) in 2nd.
Well, not exactly, but all you have to do is visit www.chrisackerman.com for details on how to win this awesome bike. This machine has been pimped by the likes of Universal, FMF, Works Connection, Arsenal MX, the Metal Mulisha and several other fine moto companies. All proceeds will go to support riders with spinal cord injuries. So do your fellow fallen riders a favor and chip into the pot to get them back on the bike where they need to be.
The Stoppelcross season has started. The corn is chopped and a motocross race, for all who love to ride, is organized. The first race happened on Sunday in Handel. With over 450 riders it shows the popularity of the Stoppelcross'. Roping off a track and adding a few 4 feet high jumps is all it takes to have a good time. Well, almost. There's more to it but the riders enjoyed doing their laps.

Seeing that it is Friday, it only seems natural that we share the latest Universal Fan of the week over at Racer X before your weekend riding begins. This young lady was spotted at the Jeremy McGrath invitational last month and the first thing I noticed was the boots?

The Universal Samson Bedrack is a simple way to help carry your bikes in the van, the trailer or in the back of your pick-up. It takes 15 minutes to install. All you have to do is drill three holes in the back and attach the Universal bedrack with the three (loophole) bolts that come in the package. A short Mercedes Vito van (pictured) fits two bikes in case you were wondering. Get one.
Universal rider, Matt Buyten, finished second a few days ago in the third annual Red Bull Ride to the Hills. With big tricks off of the natural terrain hits it was hard to beat the member of NVHC.
