If you've been following the Universal News section you have noticed that we do sponsor Erwin Robins. The Dutch Yamaha rider has been winning all championships races in the 2006 season. With three races to go Erwin had to finish with a 1 - 9 in Horst to claim the MX1 title.

Erwin rides a 2-stroke 250YZ and the bikes are supposed to be slower on the first straight coming out of the gate. In Moto one Erwin got out of the first turn in second place and it didn't take him too long to claim the lead. He held on to it till the end of the race.

With moto two coming up and the title in sight Erwin opened up the throttle again to finish at least in the top 9 (which would give him the MON MX1 title). But Robins wasn't going to settle for anything less than first and passed three guys in the first lap which gave him the win in Horst and the championship title. Congrats!

With two races to go and 16 moto victories in the pocket, Erwin has set his mind on a perfect season.
